Here is my version of the classic AK-47 Type 1. I originally saw a version of of the AK with bright polished metal which contrasted nicely with the traditional wood grain and i knew i wanted to model and texture one one day. My photo reference had a straight wooden butt instead of the more common downward arching one and that's why it may look different to some people.
